Mother's Day Cards

A very special gift for every mother on this planet. 
Yorleni created some new greeting card designs for El Día de la Madre which is on the 30th of May in Nicaragua. 

It's an interesting coincidence that it falls on Memorial Day in the United States giving you an excellent opportunity to remember your mother on both days.

This collection is not for sale because there are just enough for the Madres here in Estelí, Nicaragua. If you are interested in buying some for next year contact us and we will be happy to make some for you with English inscriptions instead of Spanish.

Greeting Card - Butterfly and flower
on the front of this lovely card you can see a butterfly and a local dried flower. The papers are blended with the fiber of coconut, banana and hibiscus which gives them a very warm colour and distinctive texture. It has a fine blank writing surface and comes with an envelope. Both items are hand crafted by the Mujeres Ambientalistas from recycled scrap paper.

Esteli is a town in the northern highlands of Nicaragua, where the Mujeres Ambientalistas live and contribute to a better understanding of nature and what needs to be done to tackle the waste problem in their country .


Greeting Card- Ché Guevara
As a very famous Revolutionary Che has inspired many people during their struggle with inequality and suppression. The Mujeres used his image on many of their products such as this card. The paper is colored with the fiber of the coconut and corn plant and the pink writing of Esteli, the place where the Mujeres live, is died with Hibiscus.
