The TV show "Survivor" begins TONIGHT and it takes place in Nicaragua!!
It takes place on the beaches where I spent the month of April this year in San Juan del Sur. We went by sailboat to one the most beautiful isolated beaches where the jungle grows thick right down to the beach. It is very rugged country, a lot of volcanic rock outcroppings-- can't get there by car. The picture of the wild monkey is representative of the animals in the area but was taken north of the area near Granada.
